FAQs

Due to the fact that our activities are weather dependent, and sometimes dependent on sea conditions, we will wait to get an accurate forecast to confirm precise times and meeting location, as these may vary due to weather. You will receive an email confirming time and meeting place usually 3-4 days prior to your activity date.

You will receive a PDF download on booking your activity detailing what you need to bring for your activity. We will follow this up via email the week prior to your activity date to remind you.

Tours vary in length from 2hrs to a half day (4hrs) to a full day (8hrs). The duration will be on the relevant booking page on our website.

On a guided tour you will be asked to complete a Participant Form available here covering all necessary consents and advance information we require.

On self-guided tours you will be asked to complete an Equipment Hire form, available here, and we will require a photograph of a valid photo ID and bank card as security prior to equipment being issued.

The majority of tours listed are guided and are bespoke- which means you will be the only person or people on the tour. A small number of tours- which have pre-set dates on the booking calendar- will have other people attending as part of the activity group.

Toilet facilities are available at our base in St Columb’s Park House. If we are meeting you remotely for an activity we will let you know in advance whether toilet facilities are available at our proposed meeting location.

We can honour changes to tours made more than 2 weeks in advance of the date. Any later than that we will do our best to accommodate you. During busy periods we cannot always guarantee we can fulfil late changes to bookings.

All our tours can be undertaken with a reasonable level of fitness. As most tours are tailored around your group, we strive to accommodate your personal needs where possible. You should be in good health when coming on a tour to get the best out of the experience.

We have been working on making as many of our activities as possible as accessible as possible to people of all abilities for many years. Please ask in advance if you have personal requirements and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

We do NOT provide transport except occasionally for packages we arrange for local community groups when we will hire a transport provider for the day.

Generally speaking we do NOT provide food on our tours. However we can do so by special arrangement on a small number of tours providing adequate notice is given and an agreement on cost is reached.

We work in partnership with a number of tried and trusted cafés and restaurants, accommodation providers and outdoor activities which we do not provide ourselves. Unless part of a package arrangement these should be arranged and paid for separately when you are making your booking. Contact us if you require any assistance or advice.
