Delve into the marine environment in this stunning seascape
Far and Wild is delighted to offer watersports tours from the iconic location of Fort Dunree in Inishowen in 2026. The location of this iconic area is situated within the ecology of one of Ireland’s 3 fjord’s, offering amazing opportunities to witness the range and depth of the marine environment in this wild part of North West Ireland.
Fort Dunree offers a popular visitors centre, café and a resident exhibition related to its history as a strategic, military site. The elevated outcrop into Lough Swilly is a must visit in Co. Donegal, and facilities include a bespoke pier and changing rooms with hot showers in the sheltered side of the peninsula. This provides an ideal launching spot to explore the fjord and coastal features in this undisturbed area of Inishowen.
We offer guided kayak tours, snorkel tours and coasteering tours out of Fort Dunree. Each watersports activity provides a different insight into the unique sea-scape, offering something for all ages and abilities from newcomers to people with some prior watersports experience. Our qualified and professional guides have over a decade of experience delivering top quality and award-winning tours in the North West of Ireland.

All equipment is supplied – please bring swimwear, towel and a pair of old trainers with you.
