The North and West coasts have a myriad of dramatic coastlines, and are the ideal locations for a Wild Atlantic Way Coasteering trip in Ireland.
We offer tours on the Wild Atlantic Way in Donegal as well as the Causeway Coastal route. Coasteering is a favored sport among people who want to really get off the beaten track- most trips are through territory where you won’t see a living soul the entire time- besides your companions and guides of course!
We choose from a selection of tried and trusted routes developed by the company for different experiences and sizes of groups. Coasteering can be laid back and based on exploration of wild-life and quiet places, or more adrenaline-led with jumps and challenges- the choice is yours!
Wild Atlantic Way Coasteering in Ireland is second to none- a water-sport involving a combination of low-level scrambling and swimming in suitable rocky coastal areas. Attired in a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet, participants usually rock-hop along a stretch of coastline and sometimes swim in or jump into water that has been assessed beforehand as safe.
Coasteering is forecast dependant and should be accompanied by a suitable trained guide. The North West has a number of great coasteering locations for all ages and abilities- including active families with children of all ages.

Absolutely fantastic – we were a mixed age group ranging from 13 – 55 yrs old and Lawrence and the team were brilliant at making sure we all had a wonderful, fun and safe adventure from the youngest to the oldest. We were all a bit nervous for our first jump but the team were so encouraging and patient – by the end we were jumping from heights we could never have imagined at the start. Highly recommend the Far and Wild team and if you have any doubts about trying coasteering just go for it!

Amazing experience, very friendly staff. We went to Kinnagoe Bay and did a bit of coasteering, which is a combination of swimming, jumping in water, swimming some more to other rocks and islands and jumping in the water again. Very experienced Lorcan and Darragh were amazing to be with! The views hiking back at sunset were breathtaking!

I booked a coasteering experience for my teen granddaughter and her friends visiting Inishowen from the US and they came back raving about their afternoon clambering over rocks, swimming in the sea, jumping off cliffs. Lawrence is an experienced guide who brings a sense of fun to the event. He was very encouraging of the girls’ being challenged to “try something we never imagined we could do.” Definitely a fantastic activity for visitors to Inishowen, Co. Donegal

We booked coasteering with Far and Wild for a hen party activity on a weekend in Inishowen. The booking process was simple and friendly and Lawrence even put us in touch with a great bus driver to sort out all our transfers.
The thought of the coasteering activity had some of our group feeling a little nervous beforehand but Lawrence and Shane quickly dispelled any anxiety with a reassuring approach and we all finished the day with feelings of accomplishment and enjoyment.
This is a great way to clear any slightly foggy heads from the night before and see the North Donegal Coast.
